Stefan Minovici met with Florida Senator Marco Rubio on Thursday, September 9th in New York during a fundraising event hosted by Eiseman, Levine, Lehrhaupt & Kakoyiannis, P.C and MIC & Associates to discuss bilateral United States-Romanian relations and issues facing the two nations such as national security, trade, healthcare, and investments. Mister Rubio has been a Florida Senator for more than a decade and has served on the Foreign Affairs Committee since 2011. The Senator has visited Romania three times, last trip being conducted in 2017. There he was awarded with the Order of the Star of Romania for his support of the country. Senator Rubio also expressed his support for MIC’s “Make it in Romania” initiative, which aims to facilitate more US investment and the relocation of American companies from East Asia to Romania. Senator Rubio stated that Romania is “an ideal place for offshore and manufacturing opportunities.” The two agreed on a congressional and senatorial visit before the end of this year to Romania as well as an investment promotion and fact-finding mission.
