The newly elected board member State Secretary and Government CIO Marian Murgulet has arranged a series of high-level meetings in Bucharest for the U.S. leadership and newly elected governors from Maramures and Constanta. Among the dignitaries introduced were Calin Ioan Bota Secretary of State, Ministry of European Funds, Liviu Rogojinaru State Secretary Minister of Economic Energy and Business Environment, Mihai Lupu Governor of the State of Constanta, and Secretary of State and Governor Ionel Ovidiu Bogdan.

The meetings were by all accounts successful and addressed overcoming the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic by strengthening the bond between the U.S. private sector in government relations, evaluating new opportunities in strategic national areas and the preparation of a congressional visit to Romania early next year. It was agreed that MIC will represent such interest to American partners and members of the U.S. Congress and Senate as well as help with the relocations of American firms from Asia to Romania.
