From Nomination to Confirmation

June 20, 2019
On Thursday, May 20, during a hot summer day in Washington DC, the President’s nominee for the ambassadorship position to Romania, Adrian Zuckerman, came one step closer to becoming the next American envoy to Bucharest.
A consummate professional and an attorney with a stellar reputation, Adrian Zuckerman is the embodiment of the American dream, leaving his native Romania at age 10 with his parents, penniless and persecuted for his religious faith. Through hard work, dedication and incredible hardships his parents—both physicians, managed to
settle for menial jobs in the United States where Adrian grew up and went on to an ivy league school at MIT.
A man whose verbal and written Romanian skills remain impeccable is now ready to embark on the most important endeavour of his life and career: that of representing the United States of America in his native city and country.
A strong supporter of the Romanian American Business Council, Adrian Zuckerman brings to fruition a paramount goal of the Council, namely to have the first Romanian born US Ambassador to Bucharest in 138 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
MIC & Associates, also present at the hearing proceedings yesterday offered its full support and guidance to Mr. Zuckerman in the US Senate. After the hearings, MIC attended a power luncheon joined by Bridget Brink, US. Amb. to Slovakia, Amb. Vladimir Petrovic of Serbia, Daniel J. Lawton from the State Department, Eric Lausten, Principal at Husch Blawell Staregies and Mickael Damelintort Managing Director at Trump International Hotel in Washington.
The trip to Washington included a visit to the offices Congressman Mike Turner, (R-OH) the Co-Chair of the Romanian Caucus in the House of Representatives.
