Held in the world-famous Financial District on Sunday, May 15 – amidst challenging weather and chilly temperatures, the XVII Edition of the Romania Day Festival brought as always an abundance of authenticity of Romanian culture and traditions for Romanian-Americans, our Diaspora and the world.
Messages from the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis and NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D) were read by their representatives. Among the participating officials were, H.E. Dr. Ion Jinga – Romanian Ambassador to the United Nations, Honorable Ioana Costache, Romanian Consul General in New York, Mr. Liviu Jicman, vice president of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
