Romanian minister of the environment and Forests Laszlo Borbely and MIC president Stefan Minovici met with Rep. Gary Ackerman (NY-5) 2nd Ranking Democrat on the Foreign Affairs Committee & Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Eastern Europe, Middle East and South Asia. Multiple topics related to foreign policy and the current situation in North Africa were analyzed and discussed as the Romanian minister invited Mr. Ackerman to visit Romanian in the Fall. Later on the same day, the Romanian official met with Adam Smith (WA-9), Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and discussed issues related to national security and especially those that involved the security of the environment.
