On Monday, May 2nd, Mr. Laszlo Borbely, Minister of the Environment and Forest of Romania met with former New York Mayor and republican presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani and discussed issues related to Environmental Security, Emergency management for the environment, earthquake response, nuclear spills and the cleanup of toxic sites. Minister Borbely has expressed a keen interest in using the New York City as a model for renewable energy projects and the possibility of lowering the carbon emission of the public transportation system in large Romanian cities.
