Law & Order at MIC & Associates

“Law & Order”, the longest running TV series in the history of television has filmed one of its episodes in the offices of MIC & Associates in Manhattan, New York. After 17 years from its debut, the producer team lead by legendary Dick Wolf descended upon the MIC headquarters at 45 Broadway to shoot “Self Made” – a new chapter for Law & Order Criminal Intent.

The TV series, created in 1990 by Mr. Wolf, is considered the most successful program in the history of TV transmissions at maximum audience hours. In 1997 “Law & Order” won the prestigious Emmy award for the best drama series and has since been nominated 11 more times for this award. Following its unprecedented success, the Law & Order producers created two more pilot series, “Law & Order – Special Victims Unit” and “Law & Order – Criminal Intent”.

Filmed entirely in New York, in a realist key typical to the European cine-verite, “Law & Order” presents crime investigations and the hunt for the criminals on the one hand, while on the other, it follows the mission of punishing the perpetrators through means of the complicated and all too often frustrating American justice system, especially in its New York version.

“Law & Order”, a Wolf Films production in association with NBC Universal Television Studios has as a mentor, creator and executive producer the famous Dick Wolf. Matthew Penn, Peter Jankowski, Nicholas Woltton, and Walon Green all figure among the associated executive producers.
