The Romanian-Wall Street Economic Forum (RWSEF), the prominent economic conference in the United States promoting bilateral trade, generating opportunities and driving investment to Romania, is a weeklong event that brings together principals of well-established Romanian companies seeking strategic partners and investors in the US.
The mission of the Forum is to promote companies from both countries that are interested in doing business with each other. In past years, the forum has attracted Fortune 500 US companies, banks and investment funds active in emerging markets, large and mid-size companies from Romania and the United States, as well as a prestigious host of political dignitaries from Romania, including two Romanian Presidents, Emil Constantinescu and Ion Iliescu, Prime Minister Adrian Nastase, Governor of the central bank Mugur Isarescu, and the Romanian Ambassador to the US.
In addition, a broad spectrum of celebrated Romanian personalities, from sports legends Gheorghe Hagi and Ilie Nastase to the country’s last monarch, King Michael of Romania, attended the festivities organized at the end of the forum, generating great interest and enthusiastic participation from thousands of Romanian-Americans.
RWSEF-2002 presented 25 speakers, was supported by 18 sponsors and generated hundreds of new business relationships that led to scores of business deals.
This year, with promising macroeconomic trends and a strengthened political and economic tie to the United States, Romania is poised to further boost exports and amplify returns on its investment capital. At the forefront of these trends, RWSEF-2003 promises to provide participants with an even greater benefit than those achieved in past years.
